The Hickory Poker Showdown is a series of No-Limit Texas Hold ‘Em tournaments in Hickory, North Carolina.  The tournament has been held twice each year since 2004.  Starting in 2010, the Showdown will include several satellite tournaments, leading up to the Main Event in September.

The Showdown supports Junior Achievement of Catawba County and local Rotary scholarships.  In accordance with North Carolina law, participants are awarded trophies but no other prizes.

The Main Event of the Hickory Poker Showdown will be held on Saturday, September 11th, 2010 at Market on Main.  The tournament is open to the public, and prior participation is not required.  Doors will open at 6:00, and play begins at 7:00.  A buffet dinner will be served.
